Description

Filip Velkovski is one of the most prominent visual artists from North Macedonia, that is currently living and working in Glasgow, Scotland.
His artistic research draws upon mental images, dreams and marginal mythologies. He uses the medium of painting, installation and digital illustration in order to produce fictional scenarios and subversive spaces. Filip’s works are composed of thick layers of colors and a variety of materials, through which he emphasizes the material and metaphysical aspects of the medium itself and its relation to society. Filip has participated in more than 20 solo and group exhibitions in Macedonia and abroad, like Germany, Scotland, Bulgaria, UK, USA and so on.
