Kalina Brajkovska is an artist from Skopje, North Macedonia. She has exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy and Serbia. Her intensely colorful works echo the optimism and naivety of childhood, yet her approach is far from naive. Brajkovska’s pieces also oscillate from being carefree to a sense of maturity, while echoing themes of punishment and freedom. She creates using oil on canvas.
Kalina describes her creative process as a practice of transferring her inner battles and tribulations onto the canvas to achieve rebirth and freedom. It is impossible not to get infected with excitement by her novel expression, strong emotions, and overall positive energy.
This painting is from her latest black-themed exhibition called “Try to remember your dreams”.
Kalina’s paintings exhibited at Pioneri can be purchased exclusively here.
