Description
“In my work, fragments of my body appear isolated in intimate moments of daily life: when I rest, when I’m with a partner, when I take a selfie, or simply when I do nothing. I see my body as organic, uncontrollable, ever-changing—a part of nature. This vision translates into liquid veils of color, overlapping and sometimes outlined more distinctly to reveal a leg, an eye, or a belly. Painting, in this sense, becomes a space where the body is liberated from my own social gaze, allowing a neutral perspective where the skin becomes fluid and the boundaries of the body blur in relation to itself or to undefined spaces. The result is an invitation to explore subjective corporeality as a lived presence, rather than an object of observation.”
