In 2024 she obtained a master’s degree, specializing in mosaic, at the same academy.
Mila has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions, art fairs (Paratissima), workshops, and artistic colonies in Macedonia, Spain and Italy. She is a member of the Society of Fine Artists of Macedonia (DLUM) as well as the MARTE Association for contemporary mosaics in Ravenna.
Mila Dobrevska uses a stylized approach to create artworks that reimagine portraits—unfamiliar figures that feel strangely familiar when you see them. Her technique organically fuses functionality with aesthetics. The long tradition of tapestry and ornamentation, rooted in a refined folk art, is undoubtedly the result of the collective artistic potential of the environment in which it was created and sustained. In this context, Macedonian folk embroidery stands as a testament to the creative originality of its maker—the Macedonian woman. Mila’s exploration seeks to continue this tradition with a new spirit, innovation, and the perspective of the modern woman.
