Description
Kaja Tasevska: I immerse myself
in photography, driven by the
desire to refine my skills and
articulate my thoughts and
feelings through imagery.
Portrait photography holds a
special place in my heart,
as I find immense joy
in capturing the depth of
emotion and storytelling
through subtle expressions.
Anemoia is a visual exploration
project and a meditation on the
human need to connect with
something greater than ourselves.
To honor what came before us.
To inhabit the frame of history,
only for a moment. As you walk
through these photographs, Kaja
hopes you, too, feel the pull of
the past - into a world both
familiar and foreign, asking you
to feel the echo of an era still
alive in the spaces we choose to
preserve."
The photoshoot set in Amsterdam
at the Vrije Universiteit,
bridges her two homes. The WN building,
soon to be demolished, holds memories
of her early university days, mirroring
the transient nature of Skopje’s icons
and deepening my connection to the
fleeting nature of space and memory.
In this series, She turned the camera
towards herself - a reflection on
identity, migration, and the quiet
yearning for permanence in a
transient world.
