Description

Brankica Jordanovska (1990, Skopje) is a visual artist, costume designer and cultural activist. She completed her formal education at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Department of Printmaking in Skopje, North Macedonia. Since 2013 she has been a part of Kula Collective, a group of artists and activists who engage in the domain of contemporary art, cultural activism and alternative music. She has participated in more than 20 group exhibitions for young artists in North Macedonia.

.Jordanovska’s costume designs have been commissioned for various alternative and institutional theater productions, among the most noteworthy, are: “Experiment” directed by Jane Spasik, MKC Theater (2018), “Uzegnatost” directed by Vladimir Milcin, Children’s & Youth Theater, the opera “ Between dreams and flights” directed by Ljupka Jakimovska, The national theater for Opera and Ballet (2019).

Jordanovska is also an active member of Compressor-Association for Creative Transformation where she works as a fundraising event manager. She is one of the founders of the Kula Alternative Cultural Center who ran between 2014 – 2016. Jordanovska has recently participated in Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund ( AEIF ) Project: ‘’Equal Access through Service Learning Persons with Disabilities’’; OTP – On the Point project / Supported by Europa Creativa 2019; and Participation in Erasmus Youth Exchange – Prague 2018 | Project – Equality. Her artwork has been exhibited at many exhibitions and festivals, such as: Festival “Underground is easier to breathe VII”, Skopje, N.Macedonia( 2019); “The Home” is a collaborative project by Kula Collective, curated by the feminist festival LUCKY FIRST! IT IS A GIRL!, at the Youth Cultural Center’s Gallery (2015); Land Art Interventions, Cultural Center “Kula”, Skopje(2015) and many others.
